Members came up with this list for a new driver looking for quick places to go with friends in 2/19. Please comment if you have had experiences good or bad or other ideas!

Chipotle (all but tortillas are gf)

Jersey Mike’s (Rt 10 in East Hanover and one in Green Village)

Red Robin. Member says "in a pinch believe it or not."

Pascarella bros. "deli/Italian gourmet with locations in Chatham and Morristown.  It’s really great. Also note they stock baked goods from Gluten Free Gloriously in their freezer."

Hoboken Farms "best to call ahead as they really take their time with gf orders to keep them safe"

Sushi

Tito’s Butritos & Wings in Summit has a GF menu. "My daughter likes the buffalo wings and fries and tortilla chips. It takes a while for the food though so best to call and order ahead. "

Original Pancake House in Whippany for weekends

Five Guys "My son goes to 5 guys (he can eat the fries and gets a double burger in a bowl" but one member warns to be careful of the toppings "For highly sensitive people, be careful with some of the toppings at Five Guys. For example, they don't change gloves before handling things like bacon, so those items may already be contaminated even if the server changes gloves for your particular order.")

Thirsty Turtle in Florham Park

Livingston:

Ritz diner GF menu Shake shack Blaze pizza Seymour’s GF bagels Dunkin Donuts : GF brownies Starbucks : mini egg bites

  • Member reviewed as recently as 7/18 "Took my Celiac son there today and we had to leave. - steak frites listed as GF - we questioned server to confirm so she asked the chef - her response was that yes they are gf. - So I asked are they in a dedicated fryer? - no she said - to which I said so there's nothing with gluten in the fryer? - yes there is but chef said that doesn't matter - talked to manager who was clueless and said fries had a flour coating. - then chef said he had no formal celiac training, didn't really understand Celiac and figured the fries were fine. After all they make pizza in the restaurant so what's the difference. "
